The Nautical Sea School is a specialist RYA Motor Cruising Sea School. We have 2 training centers
- Limehouse Marine, London (Gobbi 425sc - Twin Sterndrive)
- France Riviera, Antibes - Azimut Atlantis 47, Twin Shaft Drive
Whatever your level of skill, let us help you to improve your motor boat handling, practical navigation, safety at sea and general seamanship proficiency via the RYA syllabus.
All our courses are run by a fully qualified Yachtmaster Instructor on board a MCA CAT2 Coded motor cruiser.
Our Teaching Method
Learning something new can be a daunting task. People react to different teaching methods/style s differently. Teachers sometimes refer to it as the difference between didactic (by the spoken word) or experiential (by practice) learning.
All our activities are task orientated - and focussed on making "the passage". We concentrate on all safety matters and will not put anyone at risk - or indeed the boat at risk.
We follow the RYA syllabus for each course we offer. In all our practical courses we undertake the process of:
- Pre task briefing
- Execute the task
- Review and discuss how the task was completed. Provide feedback and possibly undertake the task again - to explore different options
Often there are many ways to complete the same task. We aim to explore as many options as possible, thereby building a students repertoire of skills for different conditions and circumstances.
We attempt to put all 'jargon' into common English - particularly for new comers to boating.
