RYA Distance Learning Courses:
If you have a broadband Internet connection this is the theory course for you. 13 modules, each featuring high quality video, animation, photos and narration, guide you through the RYA's Basic Navigation and Safety Course. But, this is not just a book or Internet site to accompany a course....it is the course! It is the first RYA course that you complete online, including tests and quizzes to ensure that you have reached the required standard.

Fully approved by the RYA and written by Yachtmaster Instructors, the course can be completed in 4 or 5 evenings (however, we give you access to the content for 6 weeks). Once you sign up you will be given access to the course and we will mail you an RYA study pack which includes:

• practice charts
• course notes and
• a plotting instrument.

Once you have successfully completed the course we will send you your RYA certificate.

It is suitable for anyone who takes to the water, whether by canoe, yacht, powerboat or fishing boat. The course teaches beyond the RYA syllabus and therefore we are quite happy to accept clients on our higher level practical courses that have completed it.
