Windsurfing Holidays and Courses:
Come and learn to windsurf or improve your technique on the beautiful Mar Menor, the warmest sea in Europe. It is very shallow far out into the lagoon and so ideal when you are learning to windsurf.
There is plenty to see and do in the area with beautiful count
ryside for walking or cycling, unspoilt beaches and the historic cities of Cartagena and Murcia are both only a short drive away. The famous La Manga Club Golf resort is on our doorstep with world-class golf courses, all-weather tennis centre and a fantastic spa.
Lessons are tailored to the individual; we can focus on improving certain techniques or work through a set programme based on RYA levels 1 & 2. We focus on high quality private tuition. We normally operate no more than a 3 to 1 student / instructor ratio and all lessons are private to your group.
Our equipment is especially suitable for beginners. The sails are lightweight and the boards very stable, which makes it quicker & easier to get going. If you have non-windsurfers in your group and they want to join you on the water they can always join the session on a kayak or simply lie on the beach and relax.
We can offer both B&B and self-catering accommodation in the local area. See below for a selection of properties available (for more information please see our website detailed at the bottom of this page).
We also offer dinghy sailing holidays and courses in Spain.
Course Prices:
Tuition is normally broken down into 2 hour segments, therefore, if you come on holiday for a week you can spend every morning out on the water and still have some time to visit the local area or laze on the beach reading a book. Alternatively, if you want to learn as much as possible, you could windsurf for up to 6 hours per day.
Courses follow the RYA syllabus and we award Aqua Adicta certificates which are signed by an RYA Senior Instructor. RYA certificates cannot be issued, as we are not RYA inspected.
Note: We list two price bands for our coures - Low / Mid Season and High Season. High season 2008 includes 5-19 April, 24-31 May, 5 July-30 August, 25 Oct - 1 Nov.

Company Overview:
Aqua Adicta is a small and professional, family run, watersports company. We offer dinghy sailing and windsurfing tuition and also kayak safaris and boat trips. We specialise in high quality private tuition and normally have no more than a 3 students to an instructor.
Julian, the Centre Principal, is a Royal Yachting Association Senior Instructor and has taught dinghy sailing in the UK for several years both within RYA recognised centres and freelance. He has been windsurfing for many years and is an enthusiastic and patient teacher. Lesley is also an experienced sailor and has a keen interest in ornithology and ecology and will provide and insight into the local wildlife while leading kayak trips on the Mar Menor. She learnt to windsurf several years ago but due to poor equipment and cold waters didn’t get hooked. Now with the Murcian sunshine and the Mar Menor on the doorstep her skills are growing rapidly.
To ensure that all instruction is of the highest standard we do not hire temporary seasonal staff. All instruction will be given by Julian or Lesley and we will do our utmost to ensure that you both learn and have a good time!
Location & How to Find Us:
The Mar Menor is located on the Costa Calida in South Eastern Spain and is the largest salt-water lagoon in Europe and is a great location for watersports and relaxation. It is 18 km long and contains 5 islands, one of which is inhabited. The Mar Menor (or small sea) is separated from the Mediterranean by a narrow strip of land (La Manga) and therefore, many beautiful beaches are just a stones throw away. The best beaches are found at Calblanque Natural Park, a remote area of gorgeous sandy beaches backed by rocky hills accessible only by a dirt track.
The area has much to offer and La Manga Club which has
world class golf courses, tennis academy, football academy and a fantastic spa is only 10 mins by car. Cartagena and Murcia are just a short drive away and both cities are well worth a visit with attractive architecture, cafes, restaurants and shops. Just 5 minutes in the car takes you to Cabo de Palos, which has a lighthouse and a lovely old harbour with it’s many fish restaurants.
The area is very accessible with good roads and Murcia airport is only 15 mins away. Alicante is also convenient and may be reached in just over 1 hour. It only takes 2 hours to travel from the UK to Murcia (MJV) or Alicante
(ALC) and since many low-cost airlines use these airports real bargains can be found if your travel at the right time.
The weather is (on average) over 20 degrees C from April to the end of November and during that period the temperature of the Mar Menor ranges from 18 degrees to over 30.
