Sailing Courses:
Welcome to Corfu Sea School. We are a British owned, Royal Yachting Association (RYA) approved sailing school. From our base in Corfu, Greece, we provide the complete range of sail cruising and powerboat courses (including Competent Crew, Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper, Yachtmaster®, ICC and all associated shore-based courses) . The school operates from March to November and prides itself on offering relaxed yet comprehensive tuition in all aspects of boating including; sailing, navigation and seamanship. All our practical courses are run on modern, fully equipped yachts and powerboats that meet the stringent requirements of the MCA Safety Code. Whether you are a complete novice, improver or 'old hand' looking to gain a specific qualification we are confident that we can provide a course to suit you.

We have trained literally hundreds of people, from complete beginners to professionals and believe that our success is due to the quality of our Instructors, our idyllic cruising area and the ability to make learning to sail a fun experience. 'Mafalda II' is our principal sail training yacht.

Our weekly practical sailing courses visit many of the Ionian Sea's most famous islands and bays including: Paxos, Lefkas, Ithaca and Cephalonia. It is one of the Mediterranean's finest cruising areas, and, in our opinion, offers the best sailing in Greece.

We believe that learning to sail should be fun and sailing in Greece provides the ideal environment in which to get the most out of your course. The blue skies and warm waters of the Mediterranean make yachting and powerboating in Greece a truly enjoyable experience. Corfu Sea School was the first yacht training centre to be recognised by the RYA in Greece, so our experience is second to none.

We also run RYA power boat training courses in Greece in addition to offering the RYA Basic Navigation and Safety course online through Distance Learning.

Company Overview:
The school was started in 2001 by its principal, Steve Hills (a RYA Yachtmaster Instructor with over 30 years sailing experience) after many years cruising Greek waters. The idyllic mixture of countless islands and bays, sun and gentle winds convinced Steve that sailing in the Ionian was the best in Greece and Corfu was the ideal place to base a sailing school. We are sure that you will feel the same after a course with our sailing school.
