Sailing Courses:
Come and experience the thrill of catamaran sailing around beautiful Poole Harbour. The great thing about cat sailing is that you do not need to have ever sailed before to enjoy the thrill of a cat at its fastest, flying the hull whilst hanging out on the wire. Unlike other sports where it can take years of training and practice to get the real buzz you can hop straight on board with one of our experienced instructors and they can show you what the boat can do. Choose from the following : 1 hr taster; fun sailing day; group sailing day for up to 10 people.

Beginners - The RYA training program offered by The Hobie Cat Centre can take you from a complete beginner to an accomplished cat sailor. The Centre offers a combination of structured RYA courses combined with practice on rental boats and private tuition. You can have as much or as little help as you need along the way. The Centre can also help you decide which is your ideal cat at the end of the course.

Dinghy Sailors & Windsurfers - If you already have good ' wind awareness ' we can help you to transfer your skills onto a cat in just one day. Those of you who have sailed cats before using similar techniques to those used on a dinghy will probably think that the cat is a difficult beast, but using the techniques we can teach you in a 1 day cat conversion course you will be amazed at how easy they are to tame.

Improvers & Advanced Sailing Techniques - If you are already a cat sailor who is looking to improve your sailing perhaps with a view to racing, the Hobie Cat Centre can help you. You can choose either private tuition on one of our range of cats, or try our 2 day Spinnakers and advanced Boat Handling Course

Company Overview:
SBS Sailing Ltd. (The Hobie Cat Centre) was established in 1996 as a dedicated catamaran sailing specialist, not only providing quality training to RYA recognised standards but also supplying the worlds number one range of catamarans and accessories for the Hobie Cat.

The equipment used at the Hobie Cat Centre is excellent quality, teaching boats are reconditioned at the beginning of each new season and all boats are constantly checked and maintained.
